6 Delicious Cocktails With Essential Oils

With 2016 nearly in the rearview, it’s time to prepare for your New Year’s Eve Celebrations.
Whether you are heading out to a party or staying in, these Essential Oil cocktails are a delicious way to welcome a fresh, new start. And while they are perfect for New Year’s Eve, they may quickly become your year ‘round favorites. These drinks are dangerously delicious. Enjoy responsibly.

These recipes are intended to be enjoyed with Veriditas Essential Oils ONLY, as we are both USDA and ECOCERT certified organic. Essential Oils are very concentrated and should be taken internally with care and respect for each drop.

Gin Rickey

• 1 ½  oz Gin
• ½ Lime
• Club Soda
• 1 Drop Lime Essential Oil

To Make:

• Pour Gin into highball glass
• Juice the lime into the glass and then drop the ½ lime into the glass
• Add one drop of Veriditas Lime Essential Oil
• Top off with Club Soda

Arnie Palmer Martini

• 4oz Lemonade
• 1 ½ Shots Gin
• 1 Drop Bergamot Essential Oil
• Lemon Wedge

To Make:

• Pour lemonade, gin, and Bergamot into a cocktail shaker. Shake well.
• Strain into martini glass
• Garnish with lemon wedge

Headless Horseman

• 1tsp Bitters
• 1 ½ Shots Vodka
• 1 Drop Ginger Essential Oil
• 4 oz Ginger Ale
• Orange wedge

To Make:

• Combine the vodka, and bitters in an ice filled glass
• Add Ginger Essential Oil
• Slowly add ginger ale
• Garnish with orange wedge

Rose French Champagne Cocktail

• Champagne
• 1 Drop Rose Otto Essential Oil
• 1 Sugar Cube
• Angostura Bitters
• Fresh Lavender Sprig or Rose Petal Garnish

To Make:

• Pour Champagne into Champagne glass (about 3 oz)
• Balance a spoon over the rims of the champagne glass and on it place your sugar cube
• Carefully Drop Rose Otto onto sugar cube
• Carefully Drop Angostura bitters onto sugar cube until saturated
• Drop sugar cube into champagne glass
• Add sprig of Lavender to garnish

Irish Coffee

• Freshly Brewed Hot Coffee
• 1 TBSP Brown Sugar
• 1 Shot Irish Whiskey
• ½ Cup Heavy Cream
• 1 Drop Peppermint Essential Oil

To Make:

• In a small bowl whip heavy cream and Peppermint Essential Oil until soft peaks form
• Pour hot coffee into a glass until it is about ¾ full
• Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved
• Add Irish whiskey and stir
• Top off with whipped peppermint cream

Spiced Buttered Hot Tottie

• 1 Cup Hot Cider
• 1½ Shots Rum
• 1 Pat Unsalted Butter
• 1 Drop Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
• 1 Drop Nutmeg Essential Oil
• Orange Wedge

To Make:

• Drop Cinnamon Bark and Nutmeg Essential Oils into a mug and roll around, coating the inside
• Dump out any excess Essential Oil remaining, leaving only a thin coat along the inside
• Add butter and stir
• Add rum and top off with hot cider
• Garnish with orange wedge
