Father’s Day is just around the corner, and in honor of all men we’ve put together a DIY gift roundup. Whether you're a man who enjoys using essential oils and smelling great, or a gal looking for a great gift idea for the men in your life, these recipes are perfect for you!
To each ounce of your favorite lotion, add:
• 5 drops of our organic Lavender essential oil
• 4 drops of our organic Frankincense essential oil
• 3 drops of our organic Peppermint essential oil
You will love the beautiful combination of these 3 oils! The Lavender soothes and relaxes the muscles, while the Frankincense nourishes the skin and adds a refreshing note that is perfect when prepping for the day. The Peppermint provides just the right amount of that cooling action we love it for.
To make your cologne, you will need:
- an 8 ml roller bottle
- a plastic pipette
- jojoba wax
- a small glass jar with a lid
- Bay leaves
- a crockpot
- organic essential oils of Frankincense, Vetiver, and Atlas Cedar
Ready to make your cologne? First we need to make the base. To do this, fill a glass jar about 2/3 full with Bay leaves. (I used a small 6 ounce jar.) Pour jojoba wax into the jar over your Bay leaves until the Bay leaves are covered, then cap the jar. Place it in a crockpot and fill the crockpot with water to about 2/3 of the height of the jar. We don't want the jar fully submerged, just nicely nestled in the water. Turn your crockpot on low and leave it for 4-5 hours. Check your oil at 2 hours and every hour after that (be careful, the jar will be hot!). You'll know it's done when you can detect the scent of Bay in your infused oil. Remove the jar from the crockpot and leave it to cool completely on the counter.
Next, add the following essential oils to your 8 ml roller bottle:
• 10 drops Frankincense
• 5 drops Cedar Atlas
• 2 drops Vetiver
Use your pipette to fill the rest of the bottle with your Bay infused jojoba wax. Insert the roller ball into the bottle, cap the bottle, and shake well.
You'll want to leave your mixture to settle for a couple days. The aroma will develop and change a little over time as the essential oils meld together within your base. Test the scent after a couple days to see if you like it and adjust as needed.
To make your own Beard Oil, you will need:
• a 1oz amber glass bottle
• almond oil, jojoba, or castor oil
• Veriditas essential oils of Atlas Cedar, Frankincense, and Vetiver.
To your glass bottle, add 30 drops of Frankincense, 15 drops of Atlas Cedar, and 6 drops of Vetiver essential oils. You can adjust the scent as needed to your liking. Then fill the remainder of the bottle with your base oil of choice. Shake well to blend.
