Now, we're all busy. We get it. If you're anything like us, you try to use good, whole food, organic ingredients whenever possible. This is great, but most of us aren't going to want to have to figure out how to temper chocolate and get ready for our date on the same day. SO, to make this easy, and to keep you from feeling like you have to run to the cake store for the fake stuff, we're going to use one of two "hacks" for the chocolate part of this recipe. Choose whichever option you like best.
Chocolate Hack #1
Melt down a couple bars of your favorite chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
Chocolate Hack #2
If you're feeling slightly more adventurous and have a little bit more time, you can follow a recipe that doesn't require tempering.
Once your chocolate is melted, turn off the heat and add 1 drop of your essential oil of choice. For chocolate covered strawberries, Veriditas recommends our organic Sweet Orange, Peppermint, Rose Otto, or Cardamom essential oil. Mix the drop into the chocolate until it is thoroughly incorporated. (You'll be surprised at how much flavor one tiny drop adds to your recipe!)
Let your strawberries cool on a flat surface before serving. Enjoy!
