Our number 1 favorite book on essential oils is The Healing Intelligence of Essential Oils by Kurt Schnaubelt. An expert in his field, Schnaubelt does a great job of teaching an introduction to the chemistry of essential oils in this book. While chemistry may sound daunting, it is important because it is the chemical makeup of each oil that lets us know that particular oil's properties - how it will be used therapeutically, the oil's safety considerations, etc. The author also includes many practical uses for essential oils, safety guidelines, and an array of interesting-to-read extra info about our favorite essential oils. You can purchase his book here in either paperback or Kindle format.
Our other favorite resource for learning about EO is Kathi Keville and Mindy Green's book, Aromatherapy: A Complete Guide to the Healing Art. The authors utilize their engaging writing style in this easy-to-read book packed with excellent information for those who want to learn more about how to use essential oils therapeutically. They even included a large selection of formulas and recipes for you to use! You can purchase this book here in either paperback or Kindle format.
Of course, there are many more great books on essential oils and so many respected experts that we love and trust, but these are our very favorite books that we recommend to everyone. They're an excellent place to start when you want to learn more about how to use these beautiful essential oils. We hope you'll pick up these two great resources and give them a read! You'll be so glad you did. Enjoy!
